Pop Japan

This autumn festival gives prominence to huge floats called hikayama, which depicts the ancient mythical creatures of the Japanese. These antiquated floats are made on the 1800's, and still preserve the original form. Thus, due to historic value, it was designated as an important intangible folk cultural property of Japan.
