Fall Fujiwara Festival is a three-day event held in early November. It honors the Fujiwara leaders treasure in the Golden Pavilion. On the first day of the festival, a memorial service for the Oshu Fujiwara lords is done. It will be followed by the parade of children bearing fall leaves, singers, and holy men of Chuson- ji. On the second day, a chrysanthemum memorial service is being held. Participants offer up a single chrysanthemum bloom and also receive one which has been blessed. On the last day of the festival, local performing arts perform throughout the temple grounds and Noh can be seen on the temple stage.
