Enshu Hamakita Hiryu Matsuri (Kite festival)

What would you do with clear summer season aside from sunbathing in the beach? Go kite flying! This festival honors Ryujin, the god of Tenryu River, which activities include kite flying in Hamakita Takoage, a fire-festival parade of a flying red dragon's head, and a performance of taiko (Japanese drums).
