Golden Week Day 4: Also known as the "Boys' Festival," this day recognizes the deeper personalities and happiness of Japanese children. Families display carp streamers outside their homes, with the number of streamers depending on the number of members the household has. Japanese people also display samurai dolls to bestow strength and power to their children. Girls' Day, on the other hand, is celebrated every March 3.
