Aoi Matsuri (Hollyhock Festival)

Aoi Matsuri will take you back to the Heian Period (794-1185). Aoi Matsuri is one of the biggest festivals in Kyoto. The parade of 500 people dressed in the aristocratic style, of Heian Period highlights the celebration. The walk starts from the residence of the imperial family, The Imperial palace to the Kamo Shrines.
