Aizu Matsuri is one of the much-awaited festivals in Aizu-Wakamatsu in Fukushima Prefecture. On the first two days of the festival, there will be a dance parade on Shinmei-dori street around 7 pm. On September 23, the procession in honor of the feudal lord of Aizu and his armored warriors called aizu-han-ko-gyoretsu, will come out of the Tsuruga-jo Castle in the morning, around 9 until 4:00 pm. There will also be Noh theater performances scheduled at Aizu Nohgaku-do Hall, which is a great way to celebrate and know the traditions of Fukushima.
