Universal Studios-Japan is one of the many extensions/branches of the Universal Studios brand, arguably the biggest film studio in the world. When it officially opened in early 2001, at the commercialized Osaka Bay Area, it quickly garnered the nation's attention and became the most visited theme park in Japan, second only to Tokyo Disney Resort. It is divided into different sections, each having "unique selling points" that promises to give anyone a fun experience, regardless of age.
The names in the divisions were named after popular American cities and movies, namely New York, San Francisco, Hollywood, Amity Village, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurrasic Park, and Universal Wonderland. Make sure you don't miss any of the sections. In addition, there are also plenty of amusement rides that are inspired by TV shows and movies.
It's a 5-10-minute walk from the Universal City Station (Yumesaki Line).
Opening hours are either 10:00am to 6:00pm or 9:00am to 9:00pm, depending on the season.
