Appeared in many movies, Tsutenkaku Tower is a symbol of Osaka. It was constructed in 1912 with the high of 64m and was build to look like the Eifel Tower.
The tower was the tallest structure in the East Asia with the bane Tsutenkaku that means "Building leading to heaven" by Fujisawa Nangaku.
Today it is now 39m higher than the original and it was registered as a tangible cultural property of Japan.
Visit the observation deck on the 5th floor with a view of Osaka. It also has a Theater on the basement of the tower that offers performances of entertainment shows like comic storytelling and performances of popular ballad singers during weekends
From the Shin-Imamiya Station on the JR Loop Line, you can reached the tower by a 5 to 10 minute walk.
Tsutenkaku Tower opens at 9:00 to 21:00 and the open air deck from 10:00 to 18:00
It has no closing days
Admission fee is 700 Yen and 500 Yen additional cost for the open air deck.
