Tobu World Square is a theme park in Tochigi that exhibits the most popular structures and heritage sites across the world. In just one visit, vagabonds will be able to see 1/25th scale replicas of these structures.
The park is divided into six zones, which is based on the different regions of the world. There are two zones for Japan: the Japan Zone that exhibits the cultural treasures of Japan such as Himeji Castle, Todaiji, The Golden Pavilion and Kiyomizu-dera; and the Modern Japan Zone, displaying the modern and prominent structures in Japan such as Diet Building, Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Dome, and Tokyo Tower. A replica of Narita airport is also featured in this zone.
Next is the Asia Zone, where the most-known sites in Japan's neighboring countries are displayed such as China's Forbidden City and The Great Wall, Taj Mahal of India, and Angkor Wat of Cambodia.
The park will also take you to Europe, where you feel going to The Parthenon, The Colosseum, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, St.Peter's Basilica, Notre Dame, and of course, the Eiffel Tower. The ancient pyramids and Sphinx in Egypt will also astound the visitors. The park also sees to it that you will experience America in your Japan excursion by featuring the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State building, World Trade Center, and other skyscrapers in USA.
All of the miniatures are replicated detail by detail, including the small human figures that are like visitors awed by these ostentatious structures.
Apart from the display of the remarkable edifice and skyscrapers of the world, the park has an Alpine Roses Garden, which grows 170 species of alpine roses. In the spring months of April and May, visitors can marvel with the park filled with red, pink, and yellow blossoms.
There are also dining facilities within the park area for visitors' refreshment and a souvenir shop to buy keepsakes.
Tobu World Square can be reached via Kosagoe Station (Tobu Kinugawa Line), which is 10 minutes on foot from the station.
Tobu World Square is open throughout the year from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (4:00 PM on December 1 to March 19). Entrance is until one hour before the closing time.
