The Southeast Botanical Gardens is a commercial botanical garden located in the city of Okinawa, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. It is about 2 square kilometers that has over 30000 specimens of 1300 species of tree and shrubs live in this garden along with rare and exotic plants, animals and colorful flowers.
The Southeast Botanical Gardens is closed in 2010 and reopened on July 2013 under a new management.
The park is divided into two zones; the smaller Botanical Garden and the larger water garden. There is a tram available that will drive visitors around the park for 500 yen. There is also a gift shop, information desk and restaurant to be found in the entrance of the park.
From Naha , take the bus number 90 from Naha Bus Terminal, get off at the "Nomin Kenshu Senta Mae" bus stop, and walk for 20 minutes.
The garden is open 9:00 to 18:00 on Sunday to Thursday and 9:00 to 22:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and the day before public holiday.
