Tennoji Park is actually a botanical garden, landscaped with beautiful flowering plants, bonsai, and statues made from wires shaped like animals covered with flowers- a unique feature of this park.
The pond also adds grace to the artistically-cultivated garden.
It was first opened on 1909, and reopened on 2015, adding futsal court, playland, restaurants, and shops. This is one of the most colorful among Osaka's parks.
The park is home for Osaka Municipal Museum of Art and Tennoji Zoological Garden.
The park is just 10 minutes on foot from Tennoji Station (JR Osaka Loop Line).
Admission in the Park is free, except on the museum and zoo.
