Located in Shibuya, Sompo Japan Nipponkoa is known for exhibiting Vincent Van Gogh's famous work, "Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers" as part of the gallery's permanent collection. The museum also houses Paul Cezanne's 'Pommes et Serviette' and Paul Gaugin's 'L'Allee des Alyscamps, Arles'. It is also the place to remember a great Japanese painter Seiji Togo, and his works.
The museum's special exhibitions merely concentrates on European art. It also holds an annual contest to support the uprising Japanese artists. It is situated on the 42nd floor of Sonpo company building.
The museum also has a shop where you can freely explore. Along Shibuya, you can visit the famous Tokyo Mode Gakuen cocoon building nearby.
The museum can be reached via JR Shinjuku Station West Exit, Marunouchi Line Shinjuku Station and Nishi-Shinjuku Station, Oedo Line Shinjuku-nishiguchi Station.
The museum is open 10:00 to 18:00 and closed on Mondays (closes the next day if Monday is Holiday), on New Year Holidays, and periodically during changes of exhibits (check schedule on their official website). Entry costs 1000 yen. Fees also varies depending on the exhibit.
