On October 1989 this museum was opened with the main theme of "Space and Energy" which aims to give knowledge about the universe and energy through seeing, touching and playing.
Modern interactive science exhibits are held over the four floors of the museum with different themes that impressively demonstrates science through activities.
A perfect place to learn science especially for children through the displays about the universe, chemistry, electricity and energy. There is also show about science which is held three times a day.
Aside from the exhibits, the museum also has a planetarium with a lot of shows and an IMax Dome called "Omnimax" with IMax films shown every weekend.
The museum can be reached by a 5 minute walk from Nakanoshima Station of Keihan Nakanoshima Line and 5-10 minutes walk from Higobashi Station.
The museum opens at 9:30 to 17:00 It is closed on Mondays and New Year Holidays.
Admission fee is 400 Yen (Planetarium and Pmnimax not included.)
