Mount Fuji's eruption is what caused why this cave is created. Located in Aokigahara Jukai, the entire cave is 450ft covered with ice all year with an average temperature that is about 37F.
Narusawa Ice cave is designated as a Natural monument.
The cave is formed in a circular position, visitors can walk through its walkways. Visitors passing the passages should be more careful because of its low ceilings and slippery stairs.
Popular attraction is icicles that are found everywhere around the cave. Sometimes, it grows up to 90ft long and 1.5 ft wide.
From Kawaguchiko Station, take the Fuji Kyoko Line and get off at Narusawa-hyoketsu stop. From there, the cave is just a 3-6-minute walk.
The cave opens at 9:00 to 17:00. No closing days. Admission fee is 290 Yen.
