Situated on top of a hill, the Nagashima Museum of Art that houses art works from local artist and famous artist such as Picasso, Chagall, Renoir, Aristide Maillol and other famous artists.
This museum opened in October 1989 with a collection of arts many years ago such as sculptures, paintings, and prehistoric arts.

This museum offers a splendid range of art works, as you walk to the entrance you will be greeted by the room of paintings by local artists with different styles. Other rooms are for the European artists. The Nexroom is entirely for Aristide Maillol, a French sculptor, painter and printmaker.

Via Japan Railway, get off at Kagoshima Chuo Station. From there, the museum is a 25-30-minute walk away.
The museum opens at 9:00 to 17:00 (entrance gate closes at 16:30)
It is closed every Tuesday (Closed during Wednesdays if Tuesday falls on a public holiday)
Admission fee is 1,000 Yen Discounted fee is also available for students and senior citizens
Exhibition fee is not included in the admission fee.
