Kawachi Fuji Garden is one of the most popular gardens in Japan, giving every tourist a one-of-a-kind whimsical and colorful dreamy view.

The most talked-about spot is the Wisteria Tunnel, where pink, purple, blue and white wisteria flowers hang alternatively, thus creating the fanciful walkway a picture perfect scenery.

The garden is also perfect matching an onsen experience! “Ajisai no Yu” is right next to the garden.

Travel Notes

Take a train to JR Yahata Station. From there take a taxi or the free shuttle bus heading for “Ajisai no Yu”.

Admission

The best time to visit is on Mid April to May where the Wisteria Flowers are in full bloom. Though the flowers are blooming on varied times year over year.

The garden is open only on Spring (late April to March) and on Autumn (November to December) from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Entrance fee costs 300 to 1000 Yen, depending on the blooming status of flowers.
