Hitsujiyama Park is one of the most beautiful spots in Saitama, with the grandiose sight of Mt. Fuji and carpet of Pink moss.
The name Hitsujiyama Park has a literal meaning "Sheep Mountain Park". Its a beautiful landscape is made up of approximately 400, 000 flowers in pink and other hues.
So if you're done viewing cherry blossoms, why not try visiting this flower field to complete your spring vacation?
After a laid-back stroll in the park, try to cover all the tourist attractions in Chichibu such as Nosaki Temple, Chichibu Shrine, and Chichibu Meisen Silk Center.
The park is 80 minutes away from Tokyo via Ikebukuro Station (Seibu-Ikebukuro Line) to Seibu-Chichibu Station. Hitsujiyama Park is 20 minutes away from Chichibu Station on foot.
Be sure to visit during spring time so you can catch the flowers in full bloom. You must also plan when to go, because the park gets crowded during peak seasons, or else, bring lots of patience
The park is open from mid April to early May, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Park entrance costs 300 Yen.
