Fukuoka has been a point of connectivity of Asian nations through years, which made it as an ideal place to introduce the mixed and diverse oriental culture. It opened on 1999 and now has 2,300 collections from painters and sculptors across Asia.

Fukuoka Asian Art Museum is 10 minutes walk away from Reisen Park, and Hakata Machiya Folk Museum, another interesting museum in Fukuoka.
The museum can be reached via JR Hakata Station, then transfer to in Hakozaki Line and get-off at Nakasu-Kawabata Station.
Fukuoka Asian Art Museum is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (last entry until 7:30 PM). It is closed every Wednesday (or the following day if it falls on a National Holiday), and on New Year Days (December 26-January 1). Admission fee is 200 yen.
