Fukiware Falls

One of Japan's most unique shaped waterfall and designated as a natural national treasure. It is a popular waterfall in Numata-shi, Gumma Prefecture with a measure of 7 meters in height and 30 meters in width.

The popularity of the waterfall leads to a million of people visiting the site each year.

Visitors' attention can definitely caught by its interesting rock formation because of its uniqueness as well as the stream down to the river below that gives an amazing sight.

There is also a gorge that is about 1.5 kilometers long that offers a walking trails to the visitors just along the waterfall

Travel Notes

You can take a route bus from the Numata Station (JR Jōetsu Line). The bus will take you to the town where the falls is located.

Admission

The recommended season to visit the waterfall is during autumn that gives visitors a vivid colors of trees, the beauty of mountain and the girge around the waterfall. It is free to enter to the waterfall anytime.
