It originally opened in 1954 and re-opened in 2004 and considered as Japan's first modern aquarium. This large aquarium is located just around the Enoshima Island with an amazing view of Mt. Fuji.
Enoshima Aquarium is popular as a home to a jellyfish exhibit that was also launched when the aquarium first opened.
The aquarium has over 8,000 sardines, jelly fish, sea lion and more than 20,000 marine creatures. Visitors can also see three species of sea turtle at the "Sea Turtle Beach".
The aquarium also has dolphin shows, penguin shows, seal shows, and their amazing jellyfish display.
The aquarium can be reached by a 3 minutes walk from Katase-Enoshima Station.
The opening hours of the aquarium may vary (Check out their website for further details) but typically it opens 9:00 to 17:00.
