Indeed a unique attraction. The only beach in Japan that allows a standard-sized car, buses, motorcycles and bicycles to stroll along the water edge of this 8 kilometer beach 24 hours a day.
This popular beach driveway runs from Imahama Beach to Hakui-gun's Chirihama beach.
Driving in a sunset is the recommended time to stroll around the beach for its amazing view of the sun. Visitors can get out the car, walk around and even up close to the water and collect seashells.
Several food stalls are also located in the southern end of the beach that sells special delicasies such as Yaki-sazae (grilled seashells) and Yaki Hamaguri.
It's a 20-30-minute walk from Hakui Station (JR Nano line).
If you don't have your own vehicle to ride around the beach, take a sighseeing bus from the Kanazawa station to the beach. (Not available 24 hours) Rent-a-car services is also available in the Kanazawa Station.
Admission is free in the beach and opens to the public anytime.
