Buddhist Monuments in the Horyu-ji Area are located in Nara Prefecture. According to UNESCO, it has a 48 wooden structures in its two temples site. In Horyu-ji temple and Hokki-ji temple, there are 21 wooden structures.
These wooden structures are not just important to their history of arts but also for the history of religion. This serves as the proof the introduction of Buddhism to Japan from China during the Korean Peninsula.

The 48 Buddhist Monuments
Approx. 20-minute walk from the JR Horyuji station. The Horyuji station is approx. 10 minutes from the JR Nara station on JR Kansai Honsen. Or, a short walk from the Horyuji-mae bus stop. The Horyuji-mae bus stop is approx. 5 minutes from the JR Horyuji station taking the NC bus (to Horyuji-mae).
Admission to the Temple is 1000 yen.
