Halloween is coming and some of us are now doing the creepiest decorations at home, in addition to the scary costumes for the Trick-or-Treat.
But how about, instead of going to the party, playing some VR games alone, to make your Halloween more thrilling and exciting?
Here is a list of Play Station VR (PSVR) horror games that you can play when nobody is at home and everything is pitched black.
# 5: Weeping Doll
If you want scary house experience, then this PSVR might give you what you want.
Weeping Doll is a PSVR game released on October 27, 2016. The game setting is in a frightening mansion filled with creepy dolls. Your main goal is to explore the house, going from room to room, collecting keys to unlock other areas, in order to solve the puzzle on why the Japanese family living in that mansion suddenly disappeared. Each room has information on what happened to the little girls who lived in the mansion.
This game also shows the reality of emotional abuse to children and its effect on them.
#4: The Inpatient
Set to be released in November, The Inpatient VR game is set in a Blackwood Sanitorium, which came from the game “Until Dawn.” It is a psychological horror game which takes the players back to the 1950’s, during the institution’s final days. The player will play the character with no memory on how he got there and will explore the Blackwood Sanitarium to be able to gain the character’s memory.
The Inpatient VR game would definitely take you into the hair-raising environment of a mental asylum.
#3: Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
If you’re a fan of Resident Evil, then you would definitely enjoy the Resident Evil 7 PSVR game. This game is considered the most terrifying VR game of the whole Resident Evil franchise. Being a survival horror game, it has a series of puzzle-solving portions, boss fights, a laser-sight shooting, and a whole bunch of disgusting enemies.
What makes this VR game so spine-chilling is that Resident Evil is a first-person game, specifically note made for faint-hearted people. The whole game may give you a feeling of discomfort, but also the best Halloween gaming terror so far.
#2: Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is set in an abandoned carnival, which makes it a literal rollercoaster ride game, because of its twists and turns. What makes this VR game excitedly terrifying is that the player would actually test his shooting skills because the carnival is filled with horrific, clown-faced monsters that will not make you feel unsafe.
The game has eight different themed levels and you will encounter not just enemies but plenty of guts and blood.
The whole game experience is chilling, but extremely fun and perfect for the Halloween season!
#1: Here They Lie
Here They Lie is also a psychological horror VR game that will make you nervous during the whole game. The most exciting part of the play is that you have no idea where you are in the game, which will definitely give you the tension.
You will hear scary growls and cries. There are also some obstacles to overcome that have that predatory threat feel. The game atmosphere will make you want to check if there is someone beside you now, or maybe behind you. Here They Lie is a terrifying world and you will have no idea how to escape it.
Which game will you play first? Be sure to check your other joystick every once in a while. You can be so absorbed in the game that you won’t notice that there is already someone controlling the second joystick for you.
Happy Halloween!
