We all know that the Japanese puts art in everything they do. More than self expression, it is also their way of expressing their identity and undying culture. They always try to be unique and aim perfection.
We all know that paper is a medium for art. It is used with pencils and other materials to create art. However, Japan made art as a lone medium of art. Here are some of the unique ways on how they reinvent papers.
1. Origami- Origami is one of the most widely-known form of paper art, which history dates back thousand years ago. Paper crane is the traditional figure used for Origami. However, with some little Math, imagination and patience in folding paper, more complex figures are now being made. There is also a kind of paper which is intended for Origami. Origami papers are either plain or having patterned designs.

2. Kiri-e (or Kirigami)- Kiri-e is the art of paper cutting in one sheet. This kind of art requires a lot of patience, skill and carefulness. Artists usually use black paper so it can be seen in any color in the background. The more complex, the more beautiful the piece is. The delicate pieces of sculptures are intricately done, some are lace-like.
