Kenichi Matsuyama is your sizzling detective

If you are a fan of the manga series Death Note, and you’ve watched the film adaptation, you would probably know Kenichi Matsuyama. He played the role of L Lawliet, an eccentric genius and international private detective.

Kenichi received various awards from different award-giving bodies in the span of his career. Recently, he won the Best Actor Award in the 59th Blue Ribbon Awards in the film “Satoshi: A Move for Tomorrow”.

Kento Yamazaki as your kawaii sweetheart

Kento Yamazaki is a Japanese actor and model under Stardust Promotion. His recent TV drama is “Suki na Hito ga iru koto”, wherein he is one of the sweethearts of a career-centered girl, played by actress, Merie Kiritani.

He also won the Rookie of the Year award of the 2016 Japan Academy Prize. He got the award for his movies, entitled Orange (Orenji) and  No Longer Heroine (Hiroin Shikkaku).

Being active in the industry since 1998, Jin Akanishi has been known as one of the lead vocalists of the J-pop idol group, KAT-TUN. On March 2, 2014, he announced on Twitter that he would no longer renew his contract with the agency, Johnny’s & Associates.

On July 4 of the same year, he established his own record label named Go Good Records.

Akanishi also acts. One of his famous films was “47 Ronin” wherein  he played the role of Chikara Oishi.

Takeru Sato became famous for his witty and wacky portrayal of Ryotaro Nagami in Kamen Rider Den-O. This is a story of an unexpected hero, whose power comes from a belt and a chip-like memory which provides various characters.

His career continued to flourish with his award-winning portrayal of the world’s most loved samurai, Kenshin Himura. Being the star of the three live action movies of Rurouni Kenshin, he bagged the Best Action Actor award for these 3 films at the Japan Action Awards.

Ryonosuke Kamiki was his Name

If you have seen the latest Makoto Shinkai release, you’ve probably heard of his voice. Ryunosuke Kamiki is the voice behind Taki, the Tokyo boy who has swapped bodies with Mitsuha, the Itomori girl of the phenomenal movie, Your Name (Kimi no Na ha). (READ: Your Name: Reaching its Own Star)

Before this movie, he already won a number of Best Actor awards from various award-giving bodies. Some of the shows which gave him the awards are the fantasy film The Great Yokai War, the heart-warming film Heart Thread (Kokoro no Ito)and the comedy, Kazoku Game.
