Once in your life you may have believed in a superhero, perhaps, idolized one. You know they possess some kind of superpower beyond human comprehension that you want to have as well. For once you were engulfed by these fictionalized people whom you believed to be the saviour of the Earth. Japan by no means have contributed to the realm of fantasy we used to believe in.
These are the popular Japanese superheroes who captivated our hearts:
1. Ultra Man - A legendary superhero who fought with monsters and aliens to save the earth. He’s the first Ultra who came into the planet. After him, there were about hundreds of Ultramen who arrived in Earth and did the same job of saving it against the enemies.
2. Mask Man - A group of teenagers who transform into superheroes wearing color-coded costumes with amazing fighting skills and wrestle with villains who plans to obstruct the earth. In Japan, they’re known as Super Sentai.
3. Kamen Rider - Takeshi Hongo is the first who escaped from Shocker -- a terrorist organization who abducts innocent people, turns them to a mutant cyborg and brainwashes them to destroy the earth and eventually rule the planet. After his successful escape, he looked for people to help him rebel against the organization. They are now the superheroes disguised as human grasshoppers with superpowers, and ride their motorcycles.
4. Sailor Moon - A middle school student Usagi Tsukino befriended Luna, a black cat who helped her to transform from a normal student to a beautiful and powerful superhero. She then called herself Sailor Moon and defeats the forces of evil through her superpower.
5. Astro Boy - He is a robot made by Dr. Bill Tenma who lost his son in a car accident. To mend his grief, he made a robot that looks exactly like his son and implanted his memory to it. The doctor named him Astro Boy which later on became a hero of the city.
6. Mazinger Z - He is a giant super robot made by an Alloy Z, a metal that can only be found in Mt. Fuji. Mazinger Z was created by Professor Juzo Kabuto to fight against the forces of evil which was sent by Professor Kabuto’s enemy, Dr. Hell.
7. Saitama - According to him, he’s just an average guy who serves as an average hero. He possesses this supernatural power he acquired through the years of intense training resulting him to lose all of his hair. Saitama can knock down his opponents in just one punch.
