Mt.Tsukuba Momiji Festival
When the multicolour leaves of autumn dominate Mt.Tsukuba, tourists crowd the place. Temperate trees and maple dot the streets, walkthrough and a small railway. With a height of 877 meters, Mt.Tsukuba is one of the famous mountains in Japan. It’s famous for its double peaks named as Nantai-san - 871 meters and Nyotai-san 877 meters.

Fukuoka Grand Sumo Tournament

If you are curious or just love sumo sports, then this event is for you. The Fukuoka Grand Sumo Tournament is another annual event featuring arena-style seats. Since the tickets are quickly sold out, it’s best to buy in advance. According to the site of the event’s official ticketing office, you must buy tickets before the number of tickets reaches the limit.

Fisherman’s festival
Held in Tokyo, this event celebrates all things related to fish. There will be 86 stalls that will showcase their best seafood across the country. Foods to be featured include deep-sea tempura and some international cuisine.

Shichi-Go-San
Shichi-Go-San celebrates the passage rites of children (7-year-old girls and 5-year-old boys). Shichi-Go-San (stands for numbers seven, five and three). The Japanese see odd numbers as lucky and that is why November 15 is the chosen date which is the sum of seven, five and three. Girls wear kimonos while boys wear yukata kimonos. During this event, people offer prayers for the happy and healthy future of children.

Nomi no Ichi antique Market
Held twice yearly (spring and fall), this festival takes place in Tokyo Oval Keiokaku near the train station. Here you can find old books, furniture, fun knickknacks and fabrics. While sifting through heaps of the massive flea market products, you can sip coffee and eat pastry at nearby open-air cafes. There are street performances, music and workshops.

Kinro Kansha no Hi or Labour Thanksgiving Day
This event celebrates a nationwide holiday and replaces the old festival named Niinamesai which is a Shinto harvest festival. People thanked their gods for the good harvest by sacrificing their first sack of rice. This event is similar to Germany’s “Emtedankfest” and the United States’ “Thanksgiving day”. The Japanese spend their time shopping in shops and stores while others spend their time on a trip to the countryside to adore the beautiful leaves of maple trees.

Nabe Festival
Nabe festival refers to the break time when people will eat with Nabe that means “pot”. The Japanese people eat all soup-based dishes to warm themselves during the fall. Nabe comprises many types and recipes such as the chicken collagen mushroom nabe, monkfish paste nabe, and black pepper soy milk nabe. There’s also a Hanami Dango soup consisting of skewered rice balls dipped into a sweet red bean soup.
