Iro いろ 色 colour
Colours are all around us. It exists in nature such in plants, animals and inanimate object. Colours is a quality of a material or substance with respect to the reflected light. It’s visually determined by brightness, hue, and saturation.
In colour theory, hue refers to the name of colour such as red, yellow, and blue. Value is the lightness and darkness of the colour. Intensity refers to the brightness and dullness of a colour.
Japanese colours in Romaji, Hiragana, Kanji and English. Colour vocabulary is very useful in your quest to learn Japanese. You’ll use colours for the following situations:
