Drifting, as has been worldwidely popularized by movies, is nowadays not simply an act for the silver screen. In fact, in Japan, car drifting has become a national sport. The event has been too intense that the enthusiasm for such activity has already spread outside the Land of the Rising Sun, particularly in America, Europe, Australia, Asia and in other parts of the globe.

Presently, there are already around 40 countries hosting a variety of drifting competitions. This is why Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the world organization promoting safety in motor sports, had announced their very first intercontinental drifting cup.
