Suzuki Motor Co. introduced the hydrogen fuel cell-electric hybrid Suzuki Burgman scooter as prototype years ago at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, and it seems they are preparing to initiate commercializing Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCV) as they test the scooter on public roads. This is the first time that a two-wheeled FCV travel on public roads in Japan, and the EU-approved “whole vehicle type” is the first step for a commercial launch in the future.
The Suzuki Burgman scooter can travel around 210 miles, using 500Wh lithium ion battery pack, and is limited within the confines of the city.
