Mazda celebrated the MX-5 Miata’s 30th year with a factory restoration.
Mazda announced that it will have a factory restoration program for the first generation NA MX-5 Miata. The program will be limited, only for the NA-generation built from 1989-1997. Another restriction is that it is only available in Japan.
Mazda is accepting applications for restoration, and they also include customizations based on the customer's OEM parts. The automaker also offers reproduction parts such as new tops, steering wheels, shift knobs and original-style Bridgestone tires. More parts may also be available depending on the demand.
The project begins in 2018.
