The Mazda RX-7 was initially released as a sports car with pop-up headlamps. The car originally was a two-seater, but Mazda offered an cars with optional rear seats in Japan, Australia, the United States and other parts of the world.

The Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 was also known as the Mitsubishi GTO and was produced from 1990 to 2001. This model was imported and branded as the Dodge Stealth, and was sold by Chrysler in North America.

In this video, these two Japanese cars were compared to the Jaguar XJ-S, a model released by the British manufacturer in 1976.
