Lexus has been experimenting recently on a new large-car platform. Hence, the Lexus LC has been born as the first car of the said development. By releasing this car, Lexus tries to prove that in a luxury automotive industry dominated by German engineering and Italian styling, a Japanese brand would soon stand out from the crowd. The design was actually made by the Toyota Calty Design Research team in Newport Beach, California, basing on the 2012 LF-LC Concept. After the design has been approved, the production now went to Toyota Technical Center in Aichi.
