EZ10 Robot Shuttle is an electric self-driving bus made by tech company, Dena. It was first showcased in downtown Tokyo last July 6, 2016. The current model can carry up to 12 passengers with a maximum speed of 40 kph.
Called the Robot Shuttle, the bus is more user-friendly for senior citizens or people with disabilities because of the built-in lift. How can it run without a driver? The bus takes the passengers on a pre-determined route, programmed with the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) and external cameras. It also provides communication devices directly connected to Dena's control room.
