Youtuber Benoist documents what it's like to be inside an Automated Car Park, located in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo.
Once the driver has gotten off and secured the vehicle, the car is wheeled inside the building by a large elevator. Inside, the car will be placed in one of the parking "shelves". And when the driver comes back to retrieve the vehicle, the machines would select the car and bring it back to the elevator. It's like being inside a giant vending machine for cars!
This system has also been applied to bicycle parking facilities across Japan. The concept was designed to provide parking spaces in heavily populated areas.
