The Honda S600 was the first Honda car to be mass-marketed. Released on March 1964 in Japan, the car was initially offered on right-hand drive, but eventually, converted models were made for export.
The car has a DOHC, water-cooled, four-cylinder inline engine with four Keihin carburetors, producing a speed of 90 mile per hour. According to this video by American comedian Jay Leno, the engine of the Honda S600 is more like a motorcycle's engine than that of a car's which can easily be heard upon revving up the engine.
Watch Jay Leno as he amusingly drives around the Canyon Roads of California in a 1964 Honda S600 Hot Rod.
