From 1999 until 2009, Japanese car manufacturer Honda released a roadster concept of a car, called Honda S2000. Roadster is well-described as an open two-seat car, emphasizing its sporty look. S2000 term was derived from the tradition of their 1960’s roadster, such as: S500, S600, and S800.
The newest roadster concept was first introduced in the Tokyo Motor Show back in 1995. In addition to Honda’s 50th anniversary celebration in April 1999, the company launched the product version, and the Honda S2000 edition was born, along with its newest innovations including: rear-wheel-drive powered by a 2.0 L (122 cu in); four-cylinder engine, gearbox, suspension, interior and exterior, composed of an aluminum body panel with a 50:50 weight distribution.
