If you think this scooter as a modern-day innovation as if it’s the machine-like counterpart to those “folding bikes,” think again. Three decades ago, Honda Motocompo was a popular item, with its body can be foldable and be easily carried like a briefcase. This type of motorcycle was primarily built for small rides (with speed gauge allowing only this to run at most 30 kilometers per hour) and fit inside trunks of subcompact cars like Honda Today and Honda City. Honda Motocompo was in the market from 1981 to 1983. The scooter became popular as a buke used by Natsumi Tsujimoto in the popular Manga series You’re Under Arrest.
