Dome Zero is a super sports car manufactured by DOME Co. Ltd. It was designed by the founder himself, Minoru Hayashi, as a concept car ultimately intended as a "race car for the road". The car first debuted in the 48th Geneva Motor Show, and is now a mainstay in the video game, Gran Turismo. On its debut, attendees, journalists, and investors were intrigued by the car's futuristic design: long, low, and impossibly sleek, with six scoops stretching across the hood. Minoru Hayashi's intention was to produce a small-volume sports car using the knowledge gained from his racing exploit, so much so that he was able to enter a Dome Zero variant at the racing event, Le Mans 24 Hours. DOME continues to make sports cars, challenging Le Mans 24 Hours to this day.
