The Toyota 2000GT is a car made in collaboration with Yamaha. Debuting at the 1965 Tokyo Motor Show, the 2000GT was a two-seater car with a front engine and a rear-wheel drive system. When it was launched, it became exclusive to the Toyota Store.

With the release of the 2000GT, Toyota and Yamaha proved that Japan has the capability to make cars that can compete head-on with European brands.

This is the car used in the James Bond movie, You Only Live Twice. There was a rumor that Sean Connery wouldn't fit in this Japanese car so they had to cut the roof off.
