Yoshiyuki Sadamoto is Gainax's master character designer, manga artist and one of the founding members of Gainax anime studio.
He is best known as the character designer and creator of the Neon Genesis Evangelion-based manga series which is also his first full manga work. Aside from that, he has a lot of accomplishments. One of these is the award-winning anime from Madhouse Studio, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time where he was also the character designer. He is also the author of the shorter 60-page manga Route 20 and the short novels, Dirty Work and System of Romance.
