Yoshitaka Amano is known for his work in the character design of Gatchaman, your favorite bird fighters.
Another notable title under his name as a character designer is his work for the Final Fantasy franchise.
In 1999, he won the Bram Stoker Award, distributed yearly by the Horror Writers Association (HWA) for his illustrations for Sandman: The Dream Hunters of none other than Neil Gaiman. In 2001, he worked with Greg Rucka for the comic book, Elektra and Wolverine: The Redeemer.
Yoshitaka Amano also did the illustrations for the first book of the Vampire Hunter D novel series, written by Hideyuki Kikuchi.
