After the phenomenal success of the anime "Yuri On Ice" in 2016, another groovy anime has been making waves now in the world of dance.
"Welcome to the Ballroom" was released on July 9, having its world premiere at Anime Expo last July 2. A day before the release in Japan on July 9, Amazon streamed it online on their Anime Strike service.
The story revolves around Tatara Fujita, a middle school who seemed to have no dreams until something happened that hooked him in the world of competitive ballroom dancing.
The piece started out as a manga serialized in Monthly Shounen Magazine by Tomo Takeuchi, released in December 2011.
