Some of the greatest works in the Japanese anime industry are Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Metropolis, and the films of Hayao Miyazaki.

Akira is a 1988 film by Katsuhiro Otomo. It is a post-apocalyptic fiction based in Tokyo in the year 2019. The danger started when a biker gang member turns into a psychic psycopath and only two people can stop him. Since the release of the film, it has been considered to be one of the greatest animated and science fiction movies of all time. Ghost in the Shell, Metropolis and Miyazaki's works are also among the most notable must-watch films ever relesed in the history of Japan.
