Tetsuo Hara, who is known as a global manga legend, is a Japanese manga artist who has the ability to draw staggering fight scenes. His popular series Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) which made him achieved fame after its publication lasted for six years in Weekly Shonen Jump.

His career began with his first work in 1982, titled Mad Fighter. His first serialized work for Weekly Shonen Jump was Iron Don Quixote. He also did the character designs for the arcade game Saturday Night Slam Masters.
