Spirited Away is a 2001 anime written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, a Japanese film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, author, and manga artist for over five decades.

The fantasy film is about a ten-year-old girl named Chihiro, who discovers a magical world of spirits, creatures, and sorcery. She later on met a boy named Haku, who had a surprising past, seemingly related to Chihiro.

Spirited Away became the most successful film in Japanese history, overtaking Titanic. More than 2 decades after its release, Spirited Away is still frequently ranked as the greatest animated film of all time. It won the Best Animated Film Award at the 75th Academy Awards.
