Have you watched or heard of Shin Godzilla, Gamera, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Attack on Titan? Shinji Higuchi played an important role in the creation of these anime series.

Shinji Higuchi is a Japanese tokusatsu special effects editor and storyboard artist for various anime series, including Neon Genesis Evangelion where he was the writer, assistant director, and art director or storyboarder of that series. In Shin Godzilla, Shinji Higuchi served as the co-director and special effects director of that 2016 film. He also directed the Attack on Titan live action film adaptation.

Because of his works, he is considered as one of the top special effects supervisors in Japan. In the west, he is best known for his work on Shusuke Kaneko's Gamera trilogy in 1990.
