It's time to say goodbye to the legendary Gundam statue of Dive City Tokyo Plaza.

Diver City Tokyo Plaza is a famous shopping mall located in Koto, Tokyo. One of its iconic attractions is the 59-foot RX-78-2 Gundam statue in front of the mall. Sadly, a tweet from the Gundam Front Tokyo museum/amusement park announced that March 5, 2017 was the last day of the statue's display.

But, dry your tears because a new giant robot is taking its place. This fall, a life-size statue of the RX-0 Unicorn Gandom, the titular robot of video/TV series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, will take the RX-78-2's place in front of the mall.

So don't worry mecha fans, you can watch out for Diver City's new guardian Gundam this Fall 2017.
