In 2016, Sanrio released its anime bishounen mascots, who happen to love their very own Sanrio kawaii and cute products. Sanrio opened a website to introduce the story of these five handsome high school boys who love Pom Pom Purin, My Melody, Hello Kitty, Little Twin Stars, and Cinnamoroll.

In 2018, these pretty boys will finally have an anime of their own. Two years ago, a merchandise line has already been released for them. Now, aside from the anime, a manga adaptation will also push through, with not just one but two story arcs. CDs are also scheduled to be released in September.
