Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno is the second installment of the movie Rurouni Kenshin in 2012. The sequel was released in August 1, 2014.

The action started when Himura Kenshin's new enemy, Makoto Shishio, appearred. Kenshin was asked by the government to track Shishio down, but he declined the request. However, his decision was changed when Shishio's underling murdered the said governement official who requested Kenshin for Shishio. 

The main character, Himura Kenshin, was still played by Takeru Satoh. The role of Makoto Shishio was played by Tatsuya Fujiwara. The original cast from the first movie, like Emi Takei, Yu Aoi, Munetaka Aoki, can still be seen in the movie.
